Understanding the Site and Its Challenges
BKC is developed around low-lying land and water channels, including the Mithi River and nearby drains. During Mumbai’s humid months and monsoon season, mosquito activity can rise faster in areas where water collects or moves close to active public zones.
In a high-footfall premium restaurant, guests often spend longer at the table. In such settings, even a small mosquito issue can show up quickly in guest feedback. The team wanted a solution that reduces mosquito density without strong smells, visible disturbance, or interruptions during peak service hours.
