Mosquito control planning for a society beside Batula Kunta Lake
WHISPER VALLEY in Jubilee Hills faced persistent mosquito pressure because Batula Kunta Lake is right next to the property and was described as highly polluted, which can increase breeding around the surroundings. We planned a society-friendly mosquito solution that supports resident comfort and keeps day-to-day operations manageable for the facility team.

Understanding the Site and Its Challenges
With the lake edge so close to the society, mosquito movement was more noticeable around boundary stretches and outdoor pockets used by residents and visitors. Common impact zones included entry gate and driveway areas, podium level open spaces, garden edges, and approach paths where people slow down or wait.
In Hyderabad, warm weather and the monsoon season can keep outdoor damp pockets active for longer, so societies near water bodies often see higher mosquito pressure around periphery zones.
Site planned placement for shared residential comfort
For this 13-acre society, we focused on identifying high-exposure zones and planning placement that supports everyday movement patterns, especially during evening peak activity. The plan considered the lakeside influence, likely resting pockets along shaded edges, and common resident use areas.
Based on the observations, we designed a custom deployment plan:
20 BG Mosquitaire CO2 units were deployed across entry and driveway zones and periphery stretches influenced by the lakeside.
Placement planning focused on boundary wall edges and shaded pockets where mosquitoes tend to settle throughout the day.
Coverage was aligned to shared outdoor areas so residents and visitors can use common spaces with better comfort.
The setup was kept practical for routine monitoring and coordination by the facility team.
What Residents and Visitors Experience
Without Noticing It
- Easier movement through entry zones and driveway walks during busy hours.
- Better comfort while using shared outdoor areas like gardens and podium spaces.
- Less disturbance during short waits near gates and common approach paths.
- A more pleasant overall experience for families and visiting guests.
What the Facility Team Observed
Comfort, clearly improved
- 86% reduction in mosquito density, as recorded.
- Fewer mosquito-related complaints are linked to common outdoor-facing zones.
- Better control along the lakeside influence areas near the boundary.
- Day to day operations stayed smooth because the solution runs in the background.
The lake side used to create regular mosquito pressure. After the installation and planning, residents are more comfortable in the shared areas.
