Mosquito control planning for a luxury residential society in Worli
Site-specific problem statement
With construction nearby and stagnant water around the society, mosquito pressure was more noticeable along the periphery and boundary lines, especially in shaded pockets that form near edges. Residents and visitors typically felt the discomfort around the entry gate, driveway walks, lobby approach points, and podium-level outdoor areas used for everyday movement.
Deployment mapped to society movement and pressure edges
Based on this mapping, we designed a custom deployment plan:
What Residents and Visitors Experience
- Easier entry and driveway movement during peak resident hours.
- Better comfort while walking through shared outdoor circulation zones.
- Less disturbance around podium spaces used for everyday breaks and family time.
- A calmer outdoor experience for visitors arriving and waiting near common points.
What the Hotel Experienced
- 85% reduction in mosquito density as recorded.
- Better usability of lawns and outdoor guest zones during peak hours
- Reduced mosquito activity around key movement corridors near the society edge.
- The solution worked with day-to-day operations without creating disruption for residents.
Construction and stagnant water outside the boundary made it difficult for us to maintain outdoor comfort. After the deployment, the pressure feels much more controlled.
Amit Kulkarni, Facility ManagerWe wanted a practical mosquito control plan that supports residents and visitors, especially near entry and movement zones. The placement strategy was planned well.
Farah Shaikh, Admin and Operations HeadEarlier, we used to get more feedback from residents about boundary side discomfort. Now the overall experience in common outdoor areas is clearly better.
