Site Conditions and Why Mosquito Pressure Was High

BKC sits close to the Mithi River and Mumbai’s wider drainage network, so river-side pockets and post-monsoon moisture can keep mosquito pressure persistent around nearby properties. Mumbai’s coastal setting also supports high outdoor humidity for long periods, which can add to mosquito activity in shaded, damp edges.

For a premium mall, this shows up quickly around entry queues, drop-off edges, parking walks, and outdoor circulation zones where visitors pause and move slowly.

A Thoughtful, Site-Specific Solution

Our team reviewed the periphery zones and visitor movement patterns across the mall’s outdoor-facing areas. We considered boundary-side mosquito pressure points linked to the Mithi River belt, shaded resting pockets, and the way footfall flows during peak retail hours.

Based on this assessment, we designed a custom deployment plan:
