Understanding the Site and Its Challenges
Bagmane Developers required a long-term mosquito management solution for an 8-acre commercial property in Bengaluru. The site is located adjacent to a natural lake and a covered drain line, both of which contributed to continuous mosquito pressure across the premises.
With people using outdoor walkways and open zones throughout the day, repeated fogging or chemical-based treatments were not a sustainable option. The objective was clear—reduce mosquito density significantly while maintaining a safe, chemical-free environment.
Why Mosquito Pressure Was High
The presence of a lake along the property boundary acted as a constant mosquito breeding source. In addition, the covered drain line created damp, shaded zones that allowed mosquitoes to rest and migrate toward occupied areas within the property.
These environmental factors made short-term measures ineffective and demanded a planned, site-specific mosquito management approach.
Based on this assessment, we designed a custom deployment plan:
Placement planned to intercept mosquito movement paths influenced by lake-side conditions
A chemical-free, odour-free approach selected to keep guest areas comfortable and safe
Installation aligned with landscaping and service routes so the hotel’s day-to-day flow stays smooth
